These are early stories of Rohmer's, taking place in and around Eqypt. Sax and his wife Elizabeth went to visit Egypt in the late nineteen-teens. Mysterious Arab secret agents, beautiful and seductive young harem girls, and places the Rohmers visited, such as the /5(16). The "Other Tales" are not a series of stories so much as they are an assemblage of modern Arabian Nights stories set in Egypt told by a variety of narrators.
